Quicktionary - a World Cup Star

The surprise star of this year's Soccer World Cup in France was tiny enough to fit in a fan's pocket -- handy when doing the Mexican wave. The Quicktionary (Seiko) is a pen-shaped instrument that produces an instant translation of any written word with a single swipe. English-speaking supporters were soon swiping away at newspapers and within seconds discovered that the French word for 'penalty' is 'penalty.' Best news of all for thirsty fans, the Quicktionary worked in the local brasserie, so it was bieres all round for the garcons.
