Costa Rica
Costa Rica offers 20 natural parks, 8 biological reserves and many additional protected areas including beaches, jungles and volcanoes.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the safest countries in Central America with a stable political situation and an army that was abolished in 1948. It occupies a privileged spot in the heart of Central America, between Nicaragua and Panamá. Due to the extraordinary biodiversity of the land, Costa Rica offers a stunning collection of 20 natural parks, eight biological reserves, and a series of protected areas filled with pristine beaches, majestic mountain ranges, active volcanoes, and cascading waterfalls; all of which are complemented by the warmth of the Costa Rican people. Few places on earth provide such an excellent package for learning the Spanish language.
CPI is the only Spanish immersion school in Costa Rica with established campuses in three diverse regions, the town of Heredia, Monteverde Cloud Forest, and Flamingo Beach. An approved member of the Cervantes Institute and accredited by various U.S. universities, their academic program is designed to accommodate learners of all Spanish levels. The options of intensive (four hours) and super-intensive (five and a half hours) courses, combined with small class size (a maximum of four students per class, with an average of two to three), allows professors to address individual needs and creates one of the most flexible and personal Spanish immersion programs available in Latin America.
Escuela Latina de Lenguas is located in Barva, a lively colonial town in the foothills of the Central Valley in Costa Rica. Their approach to learning employs an intense immersion experience which includes small classes taught entirely in Spanish and homestays with hospitable Costa Rican families. The classroom extends beyond the school to local traditional markets, parks, and museums. Class assignments range from the traditional to the exploratory to truly challenge students’ communication abilities and survival skills. The program is open to anyone from high school or college students to retirees or anyone in between who is interested in exploring a new culture and gaining skills in a new language.
