Bordered by Costa Rica to the south and Honduras to the
north, Nicaragua is the largest Central American republic.
It is a warm and friendly land of mountains and volcanoes,
lakes and rivers, lush rainforests, and broad, sun-swept
beaches. Nicaragua is safe and rapidly growing as more people
discover the plethora of natural and cultural wealth this
country has to offer.
Casa Xalteva Spanish Language School is a program of Fundacion
Casa Xalteva, a non-profit educational and charitable foundation
chartered by the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education. In addition
to providing high-quality Spanish instruction, their purpose
is to promote international and intercultural awareness
and cooperation among all peoples. Their Spanish Language
School in Granada welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds,
and nationalities. Working with Nicaraguans from a variety
of backgrounds, their hope is to share awareness of the
Spanish language and the rich culture of Nicaragua with
people from all over the world.
Hidden along the Nicaraguan shoreline of the spectacular
freshwater preserve of Laguna de Apoyo, Proyecto Ecológico
offers students intensive instruction in the Spanish language
while facilitating the exploration of Nicaragua’s
ecological and cultural surroundings. In accordance with
the nature of their non-profit organization, your stay with
them provides scholarships and grants for educational, ecological,
and employment projects within the local community of Laguna
de Apoyo as well as in local universities.
Viva Spanish School is a dynamic Spanish school in the heart
of the capital, Managua. They offer classes from four to
20 hours a week for all levels to suit all schedules. The
teachers are fully-trained, energetic, and interactive.
Special modules of study include Medical Spanish, Missionary
Spanish, Translation, Culture, History, and more. Homestays
and local excursions are arranged to provide the highest
level of immersion.
