Perhaps starting to learn a foreign language in middle school will be more beneficial to students. Providing more years of foreign language learning could be the answer since this is what other industrialized countries do.

I think everybody supports what Kate says. In an increasingly global world, Washington Post theory sounds more like a canteen discussion than a properly analyzed press subject. Generalist media often speak to loud to say nothing.
