  1. Hello,

I am interested in participating in this trip during the month of November.
Currently I teach Spanish full time at a high school and as adjunct faculty at a community college in the United States. I am also initiating a one week ‘Cultural Language Intensive’ in Kino Bay, Mexico as a one credit class. This involves a collaboration between two of the colleges in town and two high school districts. It would be wonderful to include Spain. In the past two years I have taken high school students to South America for service learning trips through EF Tours.
You can contact me at this email for further information regarding your trip.

  2. Hello!

I would love to be chosen for Language Magazine’s free trip to Spain! What an incredible experience! Currently, I am an English to Speakers of Other Languages teacher in Colorado. Our district has finally started two new duel language schools in grades K-5. We are looking for immersion experiences for our staff to build cultural competancy and initiate annual Spanish language learning opportunities. Please, contact me by e-mail! My fingers are crossed!

  3. Hello,
I am interested in taking part in the trip during the month of November. I am a Managing Director of a British Council accredited language school in the beautiful city of Bath, South-West of England. We offer both English courses to foreign students AND Foreign languages to the local market. Spanish is one of the more popular courses we offer and we would love to be able to extend the courses we offer to our students and send them on to study in Spain for the full Spanish experience. You can contact me at this email. I hope that you are interested in the potential that this trip could bring to our business relationship and look forward to hearing from you.
    Best wishes, Slavenka.

  4. Hello,

I am very excited about learning more about studying abroad and education in the Castilla and Leon region of Spain. I am currently a full time high school teacher in a public high school in New Jersey and have been teaching for 11 years. I have taken 3 trips of students abroad, but only to Costa Rica, never Spain yet. I’ve used both Explorica and EF in the past, but would love to be able to share the opportunity to study abroad to my students. I’m hoping to hear from you. Thanks! Angela

  5. I am an ELD Specialist in Montrose, Colorado. After teaching k-12 and adult ESOL for a decade working with study abroad programs would be very enticing. I would be extremely excited to visit Spain and learn more about your study abroad program. I highly encourage my students to take Spanish for Native Speakers at our high school. Though I am not bilingual I work on learning phrases to communicate with our families. As I approach retirement I hope to have a place to transition my sales and education background. It would be a great opportunity.

  6. Dear Ms. Fernandez,
Please accept my email as initial application for the trip to Spain. Currently, I am a seventh grade, ELA teacher in Rockland, Maine. I hold a MSEd, with a certificate and certification in teaching ESL. Last year I was the district ELL coordinator in a different district.
Our community is 92% white. However, we have a growing population of immigrants that are joining our communities. I am using resources such as Teaching Tolerance to educate my students on the importance and value of diversity in our culture.
Unfortunately, I lack the travel experiences to bring into my lessons. Having the opportunity to visit Spain would give depth and authenticity to my students.
Thank you for offering this unique and exciting offer. I hope to be one of the successful candidates.
    Best Regards,
    Kim Meuse

  7. ¡Hola!

Thank you so much for sharing the information about the workshop being offered in Castilla y León, Spain from November 15th thru November 20th, 2015. I have been teaching high school Spanish for 20 years (18 years at the same school) and I am very interested in joining in on this opportunity. I have taken students on 4 summer trips to Europe, and I would love learn more about your program & possibly be able to offer this more in-depth travel opportunity to my students in the future. We have exchange students come into our school every year from other countries, and I have often wondered how to go about offering an exchange program to my own students.

Please send me whatever information I might need to begin the application process.

    ¡Muchísimas gracias!

–Señora Maureen Arcís, Taylorville High School Spanish Teacher

(I e-mailed the above message to the address provided, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to post my message here as well. :-) ¡Gracias otra vez!)

  8. Hello,

I am an administrator in the third largest high school district in Illinois. We have a strong World Languages program with several languages offered to our students, including Spanish for Heritage Speakers. I am interested in joining the trip to learn more about opportunities for our students to continue their Spanish language and cultural education in a meaningful and relevant context. I myself was a study abroad student both in high school to Costa Rica and in college to Madrid, Spain. I can say, from first-hand knowledge, that these experiences were fundamental in my second language acquisition and appreciation of other cultures.

I look forward to learning more about this fantastic opportunity!
